Geography Graduate Student, Mr. Yujie Hu has been selected to receive the 2014 SASHTO Graduate Student Research Award from Louisiana Transportation Research Center (LTRC Foundation). SASHTO is the Southeastern Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. Transportation is the fuel that powers the South’s economic engine. SASHTO is dedicated to Moving Us Forward in meeting the personal mobility and goods movement needs of the southeast region.
Mr. Hu has been studying GIS for transportation, urban transportation, and spatial modeling under the advisement of Dr. Fahui Wang. As an award recipient, Mr. Hu is required to make a poster presentation at the SASHTO Conference to be held in New Orleans from August 24-27, 2014. The overall value of the award is $1,500. Mr. Hu’s participation in the conference will offer him the opportunity to interact with key members of the Southeastern Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
