State of the Coast is hosted every two years by the Council for the Restoration of Coastal Louisiana and brings together experts from coastal sciences, engineering, social sciences, and the humanities. Coastal specialists from 33 states were among the 1000 plus attendees. Special guest speakers included New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu.
