Swift Creek on the Florida Coast – Field School Summer 2014

The Louisiana State University Field School will take place this summer in Florida.

Instruction will cover basic excavation techniques, artifact analysis, and mapping.

Instruction will cover basic excavation techniques, artifact analysis, and mapping.
- Four weeks of field excavations will begin May 11th and conclude June 5th.
- Two weeks of laboratory work at LSU will follow (June 16-27).

*Students must commit to the full six weeks of work. LSU students are eligible for 6 credit hours in ANTH 2016.1 or ANTH 4021.1.

Excavations are planned at two Woodland Period (1-800 AD) mound/ midden complexes located on Tyndall AFB base (near Panama City, Florida).
